Expert review of Ground Zero Site
September 11th, 2001 is a date remembered all over the world, and certainly one that no New Yorker can forget: when two planes brought down the Twin Towers and five other buildings in a terrorist attack killing over 3000 people. Since then the site has become a sort of pilgrimage for those paying their respects and to witness the massive reconstruction project. The new towers and memorial museum are still years from completion, but you cannot help but be moved by the area and especially the temporary memorial on the “Viewing Wall,” just opposite on Church Street, and the Fire Department Memorial Wall at the site of Firehouse #10 on Liberty Street.
