Expert review of London Eye
Rising up beside Westminster Bridge like a giant white bicycle wheel, the 135 metre-high London Eye has become an iconic landmark on the capital's skyline since its opening on New Year's Eve 1999. The queues may be long at times, and the price is pretty steep for a half-hour ride, but the views are tremendous. This is a good option for travellers who want a pigeon's eye perspective of London without having to make a long climb, and there are plenty more good things to see and do close by. Your ticket includes entry to a short but sensational '4D Experience' - worth doing if you have kids in tow.
Tickets on the day cost £18.60 adult, £9.54 child aged 4-15. You can save some money by booking online and jump the main queues by paying more for a Fast Track ticket.
