Windsurfing off Brač

Windsurfers have been coming to Bol since the 1970’s, and it now hosts many international cups and races. Surfing looks so easy when you watch the experts, but you’ll need skill and patience to perfect the technique. If you’ve never tried it before, Zoo Station have three multi-lingual instructors who can help you get started. They also hire out equipment to people who already know what they’re doing. Mornings, when the mild southeastern levante wind blows, are best for beginners, while afternoons, when the maestral blows from the southwest, offer a challenge for experienced surfers. You’ll find Zoo Station on a small pebble beach, close to Bluesun Hotel Borak, below the tree-lined promenade leading to Bol’s main beach, Zlatni Rat.
