Creatively presented cuisine offered in a hip, neo-industrial restaurant.
For me, Baboo is Benalmadena’s undisputed champion of contemporary cuisine. But what I love, perhaps even more than the delicious food, is the funky setting: think exposed over-sized metal tubes and floor-to-ceiling windows, giving spectacular views over the golf course down to the sea.
Food and drink:
All the dishes are prepared using the freshest, finest Spanish ingredients (vegetables, olive oils, tomatoes, hams, cheeses, seafood and meat). Few will be left unimpressed by the towering, Mediterranean-inspired, gourmet dishes.
Ambience:
Baboo has bags of personality. During the day, golfers, business types and yummy mummies catch up over light meals on the panoramic terrace, while at night low lighting, flickering candles, and a bang-on DJ (who has a look of Ricky Martin) spins deep, chilled beats.
Service:
Nothing is too much trouble for the young, cosmopolitan team, who take pride in making their guests feel wanted.
Location:
It's situated on a golf course on a hillside between Arroyo de la Miel, the main retail part of town, and the old village.
Price advice:
There are a wide range of lighter and full meals. A starter and main course will set you back about 25 euros a head.
